The Barossa Valley has been making wine since 1842, with its most famous export being Shiraz. Sitting 56km northeast of Adelaide, the Barossa region has a Mediterranean climate ideal for full-bodied reds. With an altitude of 112-596m, climate varies from warm on the valley floor to cooler at a higher altitude. High sunshine days combined with low humidity and rainfall creates a perfect environment for more robust and full-bodied wines such as Shiraz.
AROMA & PALATE
Upfront sweet plum fruits with notes of lush vanilla lead the palate, balancing with the velvety soft tannins and an attractive spicy finish. Aromas of blackcurrant, spice and pepper meld together in harmony with the rich yet supple characters.
Succulent meats, char-grilled vegetable paella and hard cheeses.
